The PCI changes for the in-development Linux 6.12 kernel add support for Native PCIe Enclosure Management "NPEM" as a code contribution by Intel for implementing the PCIe spec to standardize storage LEDs. The NPEM infrastructure is queued for Linux 6.12 and the ability to control NVMe RAID storage indicators via sysfs interfaces. There is also ACPI _DSM PCIe SSD status LED management as part of this code for interfacing with the platform firmware.
