Nearly everything on 8BitDo’s hefty $100 gamepad is made of metal

An SNES-style gamepad that’s built to last longer than you.

By Andrew Liszewski, a senior reporter who's been covering and reviewing the latest gadgets and tech since 2011, but has loved all things electronic since he was a kid. 8BitDo’s shiny silver- and gold-finished 11th anniversary SN30 Pro gamepads feature housings and controls made of so much metal that they weigh in at 381 grams — almost an entire pound. There’s no mention of including Hall effect joysticks like the $39.99 plastic version of the SN30 Pro, there’s no wireless connectivity, and compatibility is limited to only the Nintendo Switch and Windows PCs.
