Netflix takes a leap of faith on an Assassin's Creed series

It greenlights the show nearly five years after signing a deal with Ubisoft.

Following the success of HBO's The Last of Us and Amazon's Fallout, Netflix has officially greenlit an Assassin's Creed series. Roberto Patino ( DMZ, Westworld, Sons of Anarchy) and David Wiener ( Halo, Homecoming, The Killing) will serve as showrunners and executive producers. The pair says the series will focus on "people searching for purpose, struggling with questions of identity and destiny and faith."
