Netgear announced its Orbi 870 Series Mesh System, the latest in its portfolio of mesh networking systems to upgrade to WiFi7 for home networking.

Multi-link Operation – Combines two WiFi bands at once, for both Enhanced Backhaul (shared 5GHz & 6GHz) and fronthaul (5GHz & 6 GHz) to improve network reliability, reduce latency, and ensure data is delivered with maximum speed. “The key trends that are dictating some of these changes are the threat landscape obviously continues to increase and get more complex as more devices are connected in a individual’s home,” said Shalini Sengupta, senior product line manager at Netgear, in an interview with GamesBeat. “While many are currently managing their security with multiple costly subscriptions across separate platforms, Netgear Armor seeks to address this gap by providing a powerful, unified solution from a brand that millions have come to trust.”
