New ChatGPT widget is in the works for easy access on Android
The latest beta version of the app introduced a new 4 x 2 widget for the Android home screen.
According to Rahman, the app bearing the 1.2024.052 version is showcasing the new 4 x 2 widget that features four new shortcuts, including the ability to open up text, camera, image, voice query, or start a conversation mode directly from your Android phone home screen. As Rahman notes, the feature is yet to hit the Google Play Store officially, and the previous version appears to be in beta as of now. In late January, Carl Pei announced that ChatGPT's voice assistant was being implemented on the home screen of the Phone (2).
