Nintendo 3DS and Wii U online servers have officially shut down for good
You can no longer play any games online on the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U
It marks the end of an era for Nintendo fans and means some of the system’s most beloved titles like Splatoon, Super Smash Bros., and Mario Kart 8 are no longer the same. Fans had until March 27, 2023, to download free content and make purchases from either eShop before some titles disappeared for good. While it often feels inevitable, it’s still sad that so many great Nintendo games will no longer work or be fully complete now that the online servers are gone.
