Nintendo highlights Today app by dropping Legend of Zelda film date there

Nintendo proved the value of its new Today news app by revealing the planned release date of The Legend of Zelda film there.

At present, we don’t have any other information about the film in the announcement, but a release date is enough to surmise how the production is going to go. The company revealed their new app as a “One More Thing” at the end of this week’s Direct, saying it would be the site of all their major news announcements going forward. The Legend of Zelda — the film, that is — was first announced in 2023, with Avi Arad and Shigeru Miyamoto producing and Wes Ball directing.
