Nintendo president believes the pricing of Switch 2 is appropriate for all ages, and younger children should engage elsewhere with its characters.
During a recent investor call, one investor was concerned about the higher price point of the new console compared with previous platforms like the (appropriately named) Famicom (NES), raising concerns it would reduce opportunities for young children. Watch on YouTube He continued: "It is true that Nintendo Switch 2 has a higher price point than our past gaming systems. Indeed, considering both Mario Kart and Donkey Kong play a big part in the films and theme parks, it's no wonder these franchises have formed the basis of the Switch 2's launch period.
