Nintendo reschedules Switch 2 American preorders for April 24

Nintendo has set a new date for Switch 2 pre-orders in the U.S., and while the console won't be more expensive, some accessories will be.

The Switch 2’s original preorder date was April 9, but Nintendo delayed the launch following the announcement of American tariffs on foreign products. Nintendo delayed its preorders shortly afterwards “in order to assess the potential impact of tariffs and evolving market conditions.” The statement on Nintendo’s site reads, “We apologize for the retail preorder delay and hope this reduces some of the uncertainty our customers may be experiencing.
