Nintendo’s Don James will get AIAS lifetime achievement award


Don James, a longtime leader and cornerstone of Nintendo of America’s legacy, will be honored with a prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.

As executive vice president of operations, he oversaw numerous departments including consumer services, design, experiential marketing, real estate & facilities, manufacturing engineering, quality control, supply chain operations, purchasing, product testing, technical services and technical translation. The AIAS Lifetime Achievement Award is reserved for individuals whose accompaniments span a broad range of disciplines over a lengthy career in the industry. Previous recipients of the Lifetime Achievement award include: Minoru Arakawa and Howard Lincoln (2006), Ken Kutaragi (2007), Doug Lowenstein (2009), Bing Gordon(2010), Satoru Iwata (2015), Genyo Takeda (2017) and Phil Spencer (2022).
