No More Passwords: Sony Adopts Passkeys for PlayStation 4, PS5

Sony's PlayStation is the latest platform to introduce passkeys in a bid to phase out passwords.

On Monday, Sony formally launched passkey support for the PS4 and the PS5, giving users a way to dump the old-school login for a more secure method. It's the latest company to adopt passkeys, citing how traditional passwords can be forgotten, stolen, “or simply just difficult to enter on a given device.” Interested users can visit Sony’s web page and support document to begin setting up the passkey access for their PlayStation account.
