NVIDIA 580 Beta Linux Driver Brings Fixes, Wayland fifo-v1 Support With Vulkan
NVIDIA today published the v580.65.06 as their first beta driver version in the new NVIDIA 580 Linux driver series.
The NVIDIA R580 Linux beta driver also brings updated GPU clock value reporting to better match Windows behavior, fixes compatibility with Bigscreen Beyond Head Mounted Displays, enables RMIntrLockingMode by default to reduce stuttering particular for VR headsets, and various other fixes have been merged. There is also a new experimental feature gated by "NVreg_RegistryDwords=RmEnableAggressiveVblank=1" to reduce time spent in the interrupt top half for low-latency display interrupts by deferring work until later.
