Nvidia boss 'disappointed' by reported China chip ban

Jensen Huang told reporters he would be "patient" as the US and China grapple for global AI dominance.

The boss of Nvidia says he is "disappointed" that China has reportedly ordered its top technology companies to halt purchases of the firm's artificial intelligence (AI) chips. On Wednesday morning, the Financial Times reported that China's Cyberspace Administration had told tech companies to stop using Nvidia chips which had specifically been manufactured for the Chinese market. This includes supplying chips to the Stargate UK data centre which will open in north-east England, in collaboration with OpenAI, Arm and NScale.
