Nvidia unveils advances in digital humans and avatar tech at Gamescom

Nvidia unveiled a number of advances in gaming technology that should delight gamers on the eve of the Gamescom 2024 expo in Cologne, Germany.

RTX turns on the graphics in a big way.Nvidia also showcased an update to Perfect World Games Legends demo with new AI-powered vision capabilities. The Gamescom demo has full ray tracing, DLSS 3.5, new assets and models representing an 800% increase in 4K textures and 25 times the geometric detail from the original game. Nvidia’s look at Half-Life 2.Nvidia’s GeForce Now cloud gaming service will be able to play Black Myth Wukong, Star Wars Outlaws and Final Fantasy XVI on launch day.
