OGRE-Next 3.0 Released For This Open-Source 3D Engine
OGRE-Next 3.0 has debuted this week as the newest version of the Object-Oriented Graphics Rendering Engine Next Generation for serving as an open-source 3D graphics rendering engine.
With OGRE-Next 3.0 the name is new with the "-Next" addition compared to just OGRE, OGRE-Next 3.0 marks the start of a new modified semantic versioning scheme, various lighting improvements, support for UMA on Apple Metal, various build system / compiler fixes, and an assortment of other changes. About The AuthorMichael Larabel is the principal author of Phoronix.com and founded the site in 2004 with a focus on enriching the Linux hardware experience. Michael is also the lead developer of the Phoronix Test Suite, Phoromatic, and OpenBenchmarking.org automated benchmarking software.
