OnePlus president takes a dig at Samsung and Google's seven-year update promise
OnePlus is focusing on giving high-quality updates for four years instead.
A company executive explained why the OnePlus 12 won't receive a seven-year software update, unlike Google and Samsung's latest flagships. Kinder Liu, OnePlus President and COO, told Tom's Guide that obsessing over software updates isn't essential if it means sacrificing the overall user experience. It might not match the AI integration or longer software support of the Samsung Galaxy S24, but it rocks a dazzlingly bright screen, awesome cameras, and goes all-in on high-performance mobile gaming.
