OpenAI's board 'unanimously' rejects Elon Musk's $97.4 billion takeover bid


A group of investors led by Musk's xAI submitted an unsolicited bid to OpenAI's board of directors on Monday.

The Wall Street Journal reported a group of investors led by Musk's xAI submitted an unsolicited offer to the company's board of directors on Monday. Taylor, incidentally, was the chairman of Twitter's board before Musk bought the social media platform for$44 billion in 2022. "It’s time for OpenAI to return to the open-source, safety-focused force for good it once was," Musk said in a statement his attorney shared with The Journal.
