Ordinals aren't much worse than Quaternions
*up to \epsilon_0
It has been a revelation to me to see that the Ordinals(up to $\epsilon_0$), a supposedly “infinite” thing, are completely representable and their arithmetic is perfectly computable by any measure. The built in floating point we all use already have special bit patterns for positive and negative infinity and not a number. Still, it conceptually opens the door for us to talk about “infinite” things in finite ways we can computably manipulate.
