Parents still selling revealing content of their kids on Instagram, despite Meta's promises to ban the practice

Instagram is still allowing parents to sell content of their children, including bikini photos and videos, despite claiming it stopped the practice three months ago.

But it appears the social media giant does not have the tools to enforce the policy, with the ABC finding almost 50 accounts that allow subscribers to pay for exclusive content of children or teenagers, including several Australians. "The new policy is in effect as of early April and we are taking action on adult-run accounts that primarily post content focused on children whenever we become aware of them," a Meta spokesperson said in a statement. The Four Corners investigation earlier this year found images available of children on social media platforms could end up on encrypted chat channels, where obsessed fans made explicit comments about the girls and discussed violent rape fantasies.
