Peacock is raising subscription prices just in time for the Olympics

Want to watch the summer Olympic Games on Peacock? Be prepared to pay extra for the privilege.

It's impossible to ignore the timing of this move, since NBC (and Peacock) have the rights to the summer Olympic Games, which begin a week after the price hike takes effect. This time, it appears Peacock plans to leverage the hype and attention that will be drawn by the upcoming summer Olympic Games to entice subscribers to join the platform at a higher rate. Peacock's planned price hike will be put in place starting July 18 for new subscribers, which is about a week before the Olympics will kick off in Paris.
