Philadelphia DA sues Elon Musk to stop $1 million election lottery

Add on one more reason why Elon’s offer might be illegal.

According to the suit, “Since launching on October 19, 2024, America PAC claims it awarded $1,000,000 checks to nine individuals through its lottery, four of whom live in Pennsylvania. And it is indisputably an unlawful lottery” under Pennsylvania’s laws because it asks for citizens to give their personal information and make a political pledge in exchange for a chance at winning the prize.
