Plex raises subscription prices for the first time in a decade

The streamer Plex is raising its prices for the first time in a decade. Monthly costs are going up to $7 and a lifetime sub is raising to $250.

The company just announced an increase for its premium subscription service Plex Pass, which offers a number of additional features like offline access and themes. "These changes weren’t made lightly, and we’ve spent a lot of time weighing the best path forward to ensure we can continue to balance value with a best-in-class personal media experience for years to come," a blog post from the company says. It’s integrating with Common Sense Media to bring ratings and reviews aimed at parents to Plex Pass holders.
