Pokémon Champions is all about the battles

Game Freak announced Pokémon Champions at a recent Pokémon Presents livestream event. This battle sim is cross-platform, meaning Switch players can fight mobile users.

Speaking of release dates, today’s livestream did reveal that Pokémon Legends: Z-A will be coming out by the end of the year for the Switch. Lazarus, a new anime from Shinichirō Watanabe, is set to premiere on Adult Swim at midnight on April 5, before coming to Max the next day. Video platform YouTube may not seem like the most obvious match for an audio-driven format, but the company has become a major player for podcast consumption.
