PUBG developer is making Palworld mobile amid Nintendo lawsuit

Pocketpair isn’t stopping.

On Wednesday, Krafton — the publisher behind PUBG: Battlegrounds — announced that it acquired the license for Palworld and will optimize it for mobile gaming, as reported earlier by Polygon. Dubbed “ Pokémon with guns,” Palworld became an instant hit following its release on PC and Xbox in January, selling millions of copies as players explored and caught creatures throughout the sprawling Palpagos Islands. Pocketpair replied, saying it’s “unaware of the specific patents we are accused of infringing upon.” Palworld has since arrived on the PlayStation 5, but its release is delayed indefinitely in Japan.
