On March 27 I'll have a discussion with William J. Rapaport. William is a Professor at U at Buffalo with appointments spanning CS, Engineering, Philosophy, and Linguistics. Using this expertise, he wrote the book Philosophy of Computer Science: An Introduction to the Issues and the Literature, one of the authoritative sources on the topic. The “Yes” Position, (2) Large Language Models and the Turing Test: The “Use of Words” vs. “General Educated Opinion” William has almost no talks online.
