Rapidus, the Japanese foundry, is to launch its 2nm pilot production line according to reports in the Japanese media.

Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry has already announced that it will provide additional financial assistance to Rapidus in 2025, with subsidies worth up to $5.4 billion. The Japanese government has already provided around $6bn in support to Rapidus and total subsidies are expected to significantly exceed $10bn.
