According to whistleblower Daniel Berulis the intruders used newly created DOGE credentials and techniques “consistent with sophisticated Russian intelligence operations.” His claims are supported by cybersecurity experts. A Telegram account linked to him reportedly solicited hacking services online, and he founded a company with Russian-registered domains, including one offering an AI bot for Discord targeting the Russian market. His wife Varvara Russkova Corcos, worked at GVA Capital, a VC front for sanctioned Russian oligarch Suleyman Kerimov, a close ally to Vladimir Putin.
