Reddit is back after a widespread outage


You haven’t been banned — Reddit is just down.

At 12:52PM ET, the platform made an update on its status page, saying, “An issue with a Reddit backend has impacted many users on our site. We don’t know when Reddit could come back online, but for the internet’s reply guys, commenters, lurkers, and posters of all stripes, we hope it’s restored soon — or else we might have to get some work done.
