Report: OpenAI will launch its own AI chip next year
The company behind ChatGPT is working with Broadcom to create its own custom GPUs, which it will reportedly use exclusively for internal purposes.
The ChatGPT-maker will start mass-producing its first in-house graphics processing unit (GPU) in partnership with US chipmaker Broadcom next year, according to a Thursday report from the Financial Times.
