Rivian has released a new software update to its vehicles that brings some long-awaited apps to its in-vehicle experience. That also can only be used while parked, but Rivian says the new capability will allow owners to cast more than 3,000 streaming or other apps to the center console screen. The update the company announced Wednesday allows owners of newer “Gen 2” Rivians to schedule their in-cabin climate, and also offers improved highway assist functionality.
