Royal Mail trials solar-powered postboxes with barcode scanners


The Royal Mail has unveiled a solar-powered postbox equipped with a barcode reader that is designed to make it easier for customers to drop off their parcels.

The fight against fraud is evolving into a digital arms race, where both criminals and financial institutions (FIs) are leveraging artificial intelligence in attempts to outmanoeuvre one another. The Japanese government has launched plans for a Autoflow-Road conveyor belt system between Tokyo and Osaka that could carry the same amount of freight as 25,000 truck drivers every day. Major cyber-security holes have been found in technology made by some leading solar panel brands, raising the risk of targeted blackouts due to remote attacks on the energy grid.
