Miguel Ojeda has submitted all of the Rust toolchain and infrastructure changes for the in-development Linux 6.12 kernel. Rust with Linux 6.12 brings support for handling of CPU security mitigations within the kernel. The Retpoline, Straight Line Speculation (SLS), and Rethunk mitigations are now handled within the Rust kernel code.
