Seagate teases its first HAMR-based hard drive
Seagate's Exos M HDD will offer 30 or 32TB of storage once it goes on sale.
HAMR refers to a magnetic storage process in which localized heat is applied to the disk material during writing, which allows for smaller regions and more space per platter. It’s also accused of inflating driver pay expectations, blocking accounts with large gift card balances and adding junk fees. The AIrFly SE, a Bluetooth dongle that transmits audio from in-flight entertainment systems and other devices, has dropped to a record low price.
