Sega revives Virtua Fighter, debuts new IP at the same show

Sega revealed two games at The Game Awards: One from an old IP -- Virtua Fighter -- and one from a brand-new one -- Project Century.

The first trailer is for a new entry in the legendary fighting game franchise, Virtua Fighter, which Sega plans to discuss in more detail in an upcoming direct event. Justin Scarpone, Sega’s global head of transmedia, teased the existence of a new Virtua Fighter earlier this year in an interview with VGC. It’s one of many older franchises the company is reviving, including Crazy Taxi and Jet Set Radio.
