Servo Browser Engine Now Rendering Gmail & Google Chat, Decides Against AI Contributions


The Servo browser engine project has published a status update outlining some of the enhancements made over the past two months for this Rust-based web layout engine

This includes hitting a notable milestone that some websites like Gmail and Google Chat can now render correctly. - The Servo project had been considering a policy that would allow some AI-based contributions via select AI tools like GitHub Copilot. - Embedding the Servo engine for CEF-like purposes now can enjoy pinch and zoom scrolling, HiDPI scaling, and other features.
