Shein to kick off plans for £50bn UK float


Shein has been linked to unethical business practices, including forced labour allegations.

A new investigation by Swiss advocacy group Public Eye followed up on its 2021 report, which found a number of staff across six sites in the Chinese manufacturing hub of Guangzhou were doing excessive overtime. Shein told the BBC it was "working hard" to address the matters raised by the Public Eye report and had made "significant progress on enhancing conditions". Its formula of offering a wide range of cheap clothes - backed up with campaigns on Instagram, TikTok and other social media - has turned it into one of the biggest fashion retailers in the world.
