Shotcut 25.05 Video Editor Working Toward HDR Support


Shotcut 25.05 was released on Sunday as the newest feature release for this non-linear, open-source video editing software.

New features in Shotcut 25.05 include adding an "Alpha Strobe" video filter, a "Freeze Frame" feature for the timeline, the ability from the File menu to re-run the filter analysis, "Add Generator" can now be found on the Timeline toolbarm new settings options intended for DeckLink use, and more. Shotcut 25.05 does bring HLG color transfer/gamma to the GPU Effects area but again for this release the HDR video support isn't complete.
