A movie recommendation site to discover all critically acclaimed movies on Wikipedia.
Then I started to notice a pattern among the few movies I totally enjoyed: when I looked them up on Wikipedia, every single article stated that the film had receivedacclaimfromcritics. So I wrote a Python script and let it do its thing on my old Thinkpad laptop for 12 hours on the entire 150GB English archive of Wikipedia. Over 1,700 movies, from 83 countries, across 19 genres, dating back to 1910s.
