Flushing your DNS cache on Linux is an easy way to speed up your network. Here's how to do it.

It translates human-readable domain names into IP addresses, so browsers know how to render a specific website. When your computer's network speed slows down (and you've restarted your modem/router as your ISP will instruct you to do), one thing you can try is flushing the DNS cache.
