The contact lens can provide real-time monitoring of eye pressure, which is crucial for conditions like glaucoma.

Recently experts developed an intelligent wireless measuring contact lens (WMCL) equipped with a dual inductor-capacity-resistor (LCR) resonant system in the ambition to achieve temperature self-compensation for quantitative intraocular pressure (IOP) monitoring. According to a statement published by the ACS Newsroom, the smart contact lens was devised to enable early detection and monitoring of glaucoma, a group of diseases that damage the optic nerve and lead to vision loss. With my creative spirit and eye for detail, I've worked across the dynamic landscape of multimedia journalism and written about sports, lifestyle, art, culture, health and wellbeing at Further Magazine, Alt.Cardiff and The Hindu.
