Sonos’ chief product officer is leaving the company


Sonos is cleaning house to get back on track.

Some employees have told me that Bouvat-Merlin shares plenty of blame for the brand damage that Sonos has suffered over the last year after deciding to release an overhauled mobile app before it was ready. In an email to staff, interim CEO Tom Conrad said that his new position makes the CPO role “redundant” and that Bouvat-Merlin’s job is being eliminated. These major changes within Sonos’ leadership suggest that the company is taking its effort to win back customer trust seriously.
