Sora AI: ‘everyone will be filmmakers’, internet reacts to OpenAI’s new video generator

OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT, has announced Sora, its first text-to-video AI tool. Create videos up to one minute long that look real.

Tech vlogger and reviewer Marques Brownlee, said in a Tweet with some videos from Sora “If this doesn’t concern you at least a little bit, nothing will.” One user said: “2023 – ‘Hollywood is really overreacting, AI still very far from movie-like quality, look at those hands’ “2024 – ‘introducing Sora, OpenAI’s text-to-video model’ “, while another shared the results of his experimentation with the tool, stating that “People aren’t taking the ‘everyone will be filmmakers’ seriously enough.” Currently, Sora is not available to the general public to use and OpenAI has not made any statement about whether it will be free to use when it does launch, or if there will be a tiered access approach such as with ChatGPT.
