South Korea Plans to Build a Base on the Moon
The country’s newly formed space agency wants to establish a lunar base by 2045.
South Korea also wants to be in the space race, and even plans for a presence beyond Earth’s orbit, with ambitions to create its own lunar base within 20 years. With its new special agency and the backing of the private sector, South Korea is seeking to position itself among the top five countries in the field of space exploration.
