South Korea unveils world’s 1st autonomous, amphibious robotic missile launcher

South Korea's Hanwha Aerospace unveils its new groundbreaking robotic amphibious missile launcher vehicle at this year's KADEX.

Previewed at the Korea Army International Defense Exhibition (KADEX) 2024, this new missile system will be designed to provide maximum fire support with minimal manpower. This makes it deployable on amphibious assault ships and transport vessels, enhancing operational flexibility,” Hanwha explained in its LinkedIn post. Developed in conjunction with South Korea’s Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA), this new system, dubbed “StarWars,” will be able to rapidly and cheaply destroy drones in the air.
