SEOUL, April 14 (Yonhap) -- Former Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung, who declared his presidential bid last week, on Monday pledged an investment of up to 100 trillion won to fund artificial intelligence (AI), saying that he would make South Korea one of the top three AI powerhouses in the world. The former DP leader said advances in AI would boost productivity and reduce working hours, opening the door to a "work-life balance" era. Lee is widely considered the front-runner for the June 3 election, with early opinion polls showing his lead against presidential aspirants from the People Power Party.
