The techniques investigated are also, with some additional work, applicable to other color spaces, and some of the building blocks can be for other things, such as gamut compression. To find it we use a fitted numerical approximation followed by a single step of Halley’s method, this gives an error less than 10e610e610e6 (except for one point where the derivative ∂Ccusp/∂h∘\partial C_{cusp}/\partial h^{\circ}∂Ccusp/∂h∘ is close to infinite).
