Star Citizen player reports CIG is making him sign an NDA before getting refund


We’ve chronicled the weird steps players have needed to take to get refunds from Star Citizen numerous times before, but now it looks like there’s a fresh wrinkle added to the already wrinkled bedsheets of the process if a Redditor’s account is to be believed. According to FeralSquirrels, he received a response to his letter requesting a refund roughly a month ago that appeared to make similar remarks as another concession by CIG last July.

What’s different this time around, though, is the fact that he is being told he has to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) in order to receive his refund – a reveal that caught many gamers by surprise – along with choosing whether to keep his user status or be removed from the game entirely. FeralSquirrels did point out that he isn’t signing anything before seeking counsel and that he has until November 8th to respond to CIG, so it’s possible that news of this added obstacle may unfurl further in the next few days.
