Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will end with a truncated fifth season

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has been, sort of, cancelled by Paramount+. The show will end with its fifth season.

It's worth remembering that Captain Kirk's narration in the original 1960s Star Trek spoke of a five-year mission. “We’re deeply grateful to Paramount+ for the chance to complete our five-season mission, just as we envisioned it, alongside our extraordinary cast and crew. And to the passionate fans who’ve boldly joined us on this journey," executive producers Akiva Goldsman, Henry Alonso Myers, and Alex Kurtzman said in a joint statement provided via press release.
