So if you’re raising money and you don’t have your team assembled, the investor knows that handing you $200,000 won’t fix that. Whereas if you have the team, but they’re working only in their spare time because day jobs pay the mortgages, that’s a good reason to raise money. If it’s just a matter of pouring more marketing dollars in the top so you can crank out more revenue in the bottom, that’s a machine investors like to invest in.
