As reported by Sweclockers, the PC gaming platform managed to hit a total of 39,205,447 players on Sunday, December 8 at 2 PM UTC, as can be stopped on SteamDB. Marvel Rivals, the superhero universe’s attempt at the Overwatch formula is not only free to play but hotly anticipated thanks to recognition of the name and a fun cast of characters. The launch of Marvel Rivals and Path of Exile 2 only account for just shy of a million of this new record so this suggests a general uptick in many games, not just a handful.
